As a U.S. Army veteran, award-winning mental health advocate, and Founder & CEO of 19SeventySix Coaching, Rev. Bernice “Doc Bunny” Sykes, Ph.D. has dedicated her life to helping individuals and organizations transform from the inside out.
Her Service
Doc Bunny served her country with distinction as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, holding two Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) as a Flight Operations Specialist and Animal Care Sergeant. She served 5 years on Active Duty and 4 years in the Army Reserves, answering the call twice during critical moments in history: Operation Joint Endeavor in 1996 and Operation Noble Eagle in 2003. The discipline, resilience, and leadership forged through military service became the foundation of everything she does today.

Her signature “hard love” approach does not just address surface-level challenges — it gets to the root.
A nationally recognized voice in Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Awareness, Doc Bunny has made it her mission to reach those who are often overlooked: veterans, survivors of narcissistic and domestic abuse, and communities navigating trauma. She is also a passionate School Choice Advocate who develops homeschool curriculum, believing that education is one of the most powerful tools for generational change.
Doc Bunny believes deeply that every person has the capacity to transform — even in their darkest moments — when they learn to lead with self-love and personal accountability.
